Air Fryer Chicken Wings Recipe

  • Author: Charlotte
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4-5 servings 1x

Description

Crispy and flavorful air fryer chicken wings seasoned with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. These wings are easy to make, requiring just a simple mix of spices and olive oil, then cooked quickly in the air fryer for a perfect crispy texture without the extra oil of traditional frying.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Wings

  • 1820 split chicken wings (drumette and winglet)

Seasoning

  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the seasoning mix: In a large bowl, combine 3 Tbsp of olive oil, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp salt, and ½ tsp ground black pepper. Mix well until fully blended to create the marinade.
  2. Coat the chicken wings: Add the 18-20 split chicken wings into the bowl with the seasoning mixture. Toss everything thoroughly until each wing is evenly coated on all sides with the seasoned oil mixture.
  3. Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (204°C) for 2 minutes to ensure an even cooking temperature for crispy wings.
  4. Cook the wings: Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket to avoid overcrowding. Air fry them at 400°F for 24 to 25 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through the cooking time to promote even crisping on both sides.
  5. Check doneness and serve: Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the wings; they are done when they reach 165°F (74°C). Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

  • You can adjust the seasoning amounts based on your spice preference.
  • For extra crispy wings, pat the wings dry before coating with the seasoning mixture.
  • Flip the wings halfway through cooking to ensure even crispiness.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, blue cheese, or buffalo sauce for added flavor.
  • Leftover wings can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the air fryer for best results.
