Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 1 can crescent rolls
- 1 wedge brie (about 0.5 lb)
- 2 cups raspberry jam
- Slivered almonds, about 8 teaspoons
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Crescent Dough: Open the can of crescent rolls and cut each triangle into two smaller triangles, doubling the number of pieces.
- Divide Brie: Cut the brie wedge into 16 even pieces. Optionally, remove the rind from each piece to allow more space for jam and an easier bite.
- Assemble Bites: Place one piece of brie on each crescent triangle. Add about 1 teaspoon of raspberry jam on top of the brie, then sprinkle with approximately 1/2 teaspoon of slivered almonds.
- Wrap and Seal: Wrap the dough tightly around the brie, jam, and almonds, pinching any open edges to seal in the filling and prevent leakage during baking.
- Bake: Arrange the wrapped bites on the prepared cookie sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the crescents are golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve: Remove from oven and serve immediately while warm and gooey for best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Removing the brie rind is optional; some prefer to keep it on for added flavor and texture.
- Use any flavor of jam if raspberry isn’t preferred; apricot or fig jam works well too.
- Ensure the crescent triangles are tightly wrapped to prevent cheese and jam from oozing out during baking.
- Serve these bites warm for the best gooey texture; they can be reheated briefly if needed.
- These bites can be prepared ahead by assembling and refrigerating before baking; just add a few minutes to the bake time if starting cold.
