Baked Brie with Cranberry Sauce and Pecans Recipe

  • Author: Charlotte
  • Total Time: 20-25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A simple and elegant appetizer featuring a warm, melty wheel of baked Brie cheese topped with tangy cranberry sauce and crunchy pecans, perfect for holiday gatherings or cozy nights in. Easy to prepare in the oven, this baked Brie pairs wonderfully with crackers, crostini, or fresh fruit slices.

Ingredients

Scale

Cheese

  • 8 ounce brie cheese wheel

Toppings

  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat oven to 350℉. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Alternatively, use a small 6-inch cast iron skillet or pie pan for baking the Brie.
  2. Prepare and bake the Brie: Unwrap the Brie cheese and place it onto the prepared baking pan or skillet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the center is melted; you can check by gently inserting a toothpick into the center to see if it comes out warm and soft.
  3. Add toppings: Remove the Brie from the oven and carefully use the parchment paper to transfer it to a serving plate, or leave the cheese in the cast iron skillet if you baked it there for serving. Spoon the cranberry sauce evenly on top of the warm Brie. Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the cranberry sauce for added texture and flavor.
  4. Serve immediately: Serve the baked Brie warm with an assortment of crackers, crostini, or sliced apples for dipping and spreading. Enjoy it while it’s gooey and melty for the best experience.

Notes

  • For a more festive touch, add fresh rosemary or thyme on top before serving.
  • Use pecans, walnuts, or even sliced almonds for different nutty flavors.
  • If you prefer a gooier center, bake a little longer but watch closely to avoid overbaking.
  • For easier cleanup, use parchment paper when baking on a sheet pan.
  • Can be prepared ahead by assembling the cheese wheel and toppings just before baking.
