  • ⅓ cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 lime (zested and juiced)
  • ¼ to ½ fresh jalapeño (seeds removed, optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Place sour cream, mayonnaise, fresh cilantro, lime zest and juice, jalapeño, and garlic clove in a food processor to prepare for blending.
  2. Pulse to Blend: Pulse the ingredients in the food processor until well combined and smooth but still slightly textured for a creamy consistency.
  3. Season and Store: Add salt to taste, pulse again to mix, then transfer the crema to a container and refrigerate until ready to use to let the flavors meld.

  • Removing the seeds from the jalapeño reduces the heat, customize to your spice preference.
