Phyllo Rolls
- 1 package of phyllo dough, thawed
- 8 oz feta cheese, cut into small logs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Chili Honey
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
Garnish
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for baking.
- Prepare Phyllo Layers: Lay out one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean surface and brush it lightly with melted butter. Layer another sheet on top and brush with butter again, repeating until you have 4 layers of phyllo.
- Cut and Fill: Cut the layered phyllo dough into strips about 3 inches wide. Place a piece of feta cheese at one end of each strip.
- Roll and Seal: Roll the feta up tightly within the phyllo, folding the edges to seal and form neat little packages. Arrange the rolls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush and Bake: Brush the outside of each roll with additional melted butter for a golden finish. Bake them in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they turn golden and crispy.
- Prepare Chili Honey: While the rolls bake, warm the honey gently in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in chili flakes and apple cider vinegar to infuse the sweet honey with spicy, tangy flavors.
- Serve: Once the rolls are baked and golden, drizzle generously with the prepared chili honey. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
