Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 pkg (8 oz) low fat cream cheese, softened
- 1 jar (12 oz) marinated artichoke hearts, drained and blended
- 1 pkg (10 oz) frozen spinach, thawed, well drained and blended
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Seasonings
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Heat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC) to prepare it for baking the dish.
- Mix Base Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the softened low-fat cream cheese, blended marinated artichoke hearts, blended thawed spinach, and shredded mozzarella cheese. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated and creamy.
- Combine Topping: In a separate small bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese and garlic powder to create a flavorful topping mixture.
- Prepare Baking Dish: Lightly spray a shallow baking dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Spoon the spinach and artichoke mixture evenly into the prepared dish.
- Add Topping: Evenly sprinkle the garlic-Parmesan mixture over the top of the spinach mixture to create a savory crust once baked.
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until the dish is heated through and the top is crispy brown, signaling it is ready to serve.
- Serve: Carefully remove from the oven and serve warm. Enjoy the creamy, cheesy delight as a snack, appetizer, or side dish.
Notes
- Ensure the frozen spinach is thoroughly thawed and squeezed dry to avoid excess moisture in the bake.
- Marinated artichoke hearts add a flavorful tang; drain them well before blending to keep the bake from becoming watery.
- For an extra cheesy top, you can add more mozzarella or Parmesan before baking.
- This dish can be prepared in advance and baked just before serving.
- Serve with crusty bread or tortilla chips for dipping.
